Despite a record 37 million inbound tourists in 2024, including nearly 3 million Americans, most still choose the Shinkansen\u2014Japan\u2019s high-speed bullet train\u2014for onward travel. To address these missed opportunities, ANA launched a campaign that encourages domestic travel to attractive local destinations, leveraging ANA\u2019s Domestic Flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>ANA called on Ogury to roll out a privacy-focused campaign to engage high-intent US, UK, German, and Singaporean travelers upon arrival, targeting them independently of their advertising identifiers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-heading-3-font-size\">Campaign<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The campaign set out to shift international travelers from other major modes of transportation to ANA\u2019s domestic flights. Running from January 17th to Feb 15th, 2025, <strong>it tapped into Ogury\u2019s Personified Advertising technology \u2014 targeting personas, not people \u2014 to accurately identify the interests and behavior of the brand\u2019s key audience instead of relying on user tracking.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">To engage repeat travelers from the US, UK, Germany, and Singapore, as well as East and Southeast Asian visitors transiting through Tokyo, Ogury leveraged two personas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Air Travelers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business Travelers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">To effectively reach these personas across diverse sites and apps \u2014 not just travel contexts \u2014 Ogury qualified audiences by directly asking visitors a few questions, like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I love traveling and discovering new places. (Answer: Agree)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When traveling on longer journeys, which class do you usually book? (Answer: First\/Business Class or Premium Economy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I\u2019m usually the one planning the next holiday. (Answer: Agree)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">ANA brought its message to life through immersive video creatives tailored to each traveler\u2019s country of departure. Using premium, non-intrusive Ogury video formats\u2014like Header, Footer, and Thumbnail\u2014the campaign delivered a standout experience that engaged travelers when they were actively planning side trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-heading-3-font-size\">Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">ANA\u2019s campaign resonated strongly across all four markets, delivering outstanding results in both media performance and brand impact, with particularly notable results from US travelers in Japan.
