On paper, Andrea Wieseke<\/a> is Ogury\u2019s Country Director, Switzerland & Austria. But her story extends far beyond what her resume can convey. Through Ogury\u2019s Spotlight Series, we\u2019re exploring the unique passions and perspectives that shape our team members in their professional and personal lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your journey into tech wasn\u2019t traditional. Can you walk us through how your career evolved\u2014from studying marketing to your current role at Ogury?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

I actually fell into tech by accident. I studied marketing and applied for a job at Google without realizing how technical it would be\u2014Google wasn\u2019t widely known back then. Later, I joined Charisma, which was bought by Google, and that\u2019s where I really expanded my skills, learning SEO, programmatic buying, and even exploring blockchain. I\u2019ve worked across both the tech and agency sides, which helped me bridge the gap between the two and quickly earn trust. Eventually, I turned down a move to San Francisco for career stability, and that decision brought me to Ogury, where I get to combine my love of technology with consulting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What drew you to Ogury, and what excites you most about the company\u2019s mission and technology?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Ogury hits the sweet spot for me\u2014it\u2019s the perfect blend of technology and consulting. I love that we\u2019re persistent, adaptable, and great at telling our story to different audiences. In adtech, the landscape moves so fast that no one has all the answers, and I find that both exciting and motivating. It keeps you learning and collaborating, which is exactly the kind of environment I thrive in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your experience, what can help women feel more confident stepping into leadership roles in tech\u2014even when they may not feel 100% ready?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Ask questions and stay curious. Too often, women hesitate to go for leadership roles if they see a skill gap, while men tend to jump in and learn on the job. Understanding enough about technology and data to speak about them confidently makes a huge difference. Having supportive partners, company programs to bring women back into the workforce, and building your own profile are also key to feeling ready to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the best piece of career advice you\u2019ve ever received\u2014and how has it influenced you?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The advice that\u2019s stuck with me most is that you don\u2019t need to know everything\u2014you just need to be willing to learn. It\u2019s kept me open to new challenges and helped me adapt in an industry where change is constant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, what\u2019s your persona?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a mix, but I\u2019d say I\u2019m an outdoor enthusiast who loves to travel and also has a passion for fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
